Morgan Hecox, DVM, cVMA

OWNER/VETERINARIAN

Morgan is a veterinarian based out of Stapleton, Nebraska. Growing up on a cow-calf ranch in North Central Nebraska is where her love for horses and cattle originated. Morgan has worked the past several years as a mixed practice veterinarian, where she found herself especially drawn to equine medicine. In Fall of 2021, Morgan decided to pursue her interest in equine medicine full-time.

Kat Tedder

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Kat is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant at Sandhills Equine. She has always had a deep love for animals. Originally from Pennsylvania, she moved to many different states following her husband's career. During her time in Denver, CO, a friend introduced her to the world of horses and she has never looked back.

Her inspiration for working with horses stems from her desire to give back to these animals that bring so much joy and positivity to people's lives. She finds fulfillment in helping them, knowing that even in difficult moments, her work makes a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Kat shares her life with her husband, son, three beloved dogs-Ripley, Kane, and Berline, her cats-Kitty, Banshee, and Ford, two fainting goats- Pearl and Teddy, and several chickens.

Kat is committed to providing compassionate care to every horse she encounters and is proud to be part of a team that shares her dedication to their well-being.
